Chris Genung; Co-Founder & Treasurer


Mr. Genung is a co-founder of the Growing Worldwide Opportunity Foundation (GWOF).  This non-profit organization has 501(c)3 tax exempt status granted by the IRS.  His passions in life center on sports, academics, and physical fitness.  The co-founders of GWOF believe that participation in high school and collegiate sports plays a vital role in shaping the discipline and character of young men and women.   With the similar formative experiences of the co-founders as a guideline, Mr. Genung utilizes GWOF resources towards offering scholarships with the goal to provide opportunities to domestic student-athletes showing a proven desire and drive to succeed.

Mr. Genung started his professional career in 2004 in Las Vegas.  In various roles with MGM MIRAGE at The Mirage and CityCenter in Hotel Accounting, General Ledger, and Financial Analysis, he was able to gain significant experience over four eventful years.  Motivated by his girlfriend Jessica living in Orange County and the declining economy in late 2008, the timing was ideal for relocation to Southern California.  After completing a full-time MBA program the summer of 2009, he remained in the area to continue his career in Gaming & Hospitality at Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, CA.  Christopher and Jessica reside in Murrieta, CA.

Mr. Genung received his Bachelors of Science in Finance from the University of San Francisco and an MBA from California State University, Long Beach.  His graduate studies began with Economics and Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and he continues research in these areas with an informal self-study and continuing education program.  With inactive salesperson licenses in California and Nevada, Mr. Genung has significant training and practical knowledge of Real Estate ventures.   Mr. Genung’s other interest areas include golf, running, reading, and entrepreneurship.
